Final Product

Final design deliverable for the Scan Foundation

Outcome

Executed key site enhancements that reduced friction across critical user journeys, empowering donors, patients, and advocates to engage more intuitively with the Scan Foundation's research and awareness initiatives.

Overview

Hired to refine their digital experience, I made strategic site updates that ensure donors, patients, and advocates can quickly find what they need and feel compelled to act.

The Problem

Despite a powerful mission, the Foundation's digital experience was falling short. Disjointed pathways and unclear calls to action made it harder for donors, patients, and advocates to engage and take the next step.

APPROACH

01

Discovery & Audience Research

Conducted interviews with donors, patients, and Foundation staff to map the distinct needs of each audience. Identified that first-time visitors needed emotional context before any ask, reshaping the content strategy from information-first to impact-first.

02

Information Architecture

Restructured navigation around three primary journeys: Donate, Learn, and Get Involved. Simplified the donation funnel from six steps to three and introduced clear impact metrics to reinforce giving decisions at every touchpoint.

03

Visual Design & Accessibility

Developed a warm, approachable visual system that balanced the gravity of cancer awareness with hope and human connection. Ensured full WCAG AA compliance across all components, with particular attention to color contrast and screen reader support.
